'Just tell me how and let me do it, I'll learn faster that way." This is what I used to tell my new bosses. [I haven't had one of those in awhile!] Anyway, I've watched Dennis patch several holes in the house. The first one being in the back bedroom. [remember THAT one Brandon?] So I've seen sheetrock patch done several times. Dennis had started a patch in the 'powder room' ceiling before he left town. I've decided to finish it. The other night when I sanded it and applied more mud the kids thought I was painting [because I made such a MESS!]Obviously, I don't have the process mastered yet. Anyway, I think I can do it but I'm a bit nervous. Dennis is sooooo picky about the work he does here. I've decided not to take it beyond the point where he can strip it down and re-do it if he doesn't like it. I find that it is sorta fun to work with it. As much as I appreciate Dennis's help I think he makes me nervous about trying stuff on my own. I'll have to talk to him about that as I'd really like to learn how to do some of this myself. Wish me luck!

I seem to remember accidentally kicking a hole in the wall because I was throwing a fit.
At the time, my solution was to strategically place a stuffed teddy bear against the hole. Problem solved!
So you DO remember. Your kids are lucky. There is little they will do that you WON'T understand. Love you ,son.
Last night, Hannah was sitting in Rachel's lap watching video on the computer... then, she suddenly inexplicably gets the urge to start ripping out the Internet wires.
I can understand her urges to be destructive, but I calmly stopped her because I wasn't sure if I had spare Internet wires laying around.
