Well fellow bloggers, last night was a jaunt down memory lane. I decided to make, of all things, Divinity. First you must know that I'm not a candy maker. I don't even own a candy thermometer. Then tell me if you can, why in the world I would make Divinity. It's because I remember it well as a child. A white confection that sort of just lay there in a gooey mess on the candy plate. It wasn't that mom didn't try and she was an excellent cook, it was just that her Divinity never set up. No matter, we children nearly licked the plate clean anyway. But I digress, I for some reason decided to try my hand at candy making. When I was finished, I was sure that I had not only made Divinity like mom did when I was a kid, I had made it JUST like mom did. What a memory. However, while we were out looking at Christmas lights the Divinity did in fact 'set up' If ANY of my children tell you that they remember me making candy [that does not include fudge of course] they lie!

Save us some -- that is the one type of candy I didn't make!
Yay for Divinity! Aunt Chris made us a nice basket of goodies and we've been getting goodies from our friends so I definitely will need to start that diet in January. Oh well good times right now, and I'm happy so that's good.
