Asian Cuisine

Hey guess What? What Wendy? This post is going to be about Asian Cuisine. Surprised? Ok, moving right along. Anyway, Breane and I decided to try our hands at cooking Asian Cuisine tonight. It was mostly a success. Note to self: Oil heated to a high temp. in a wok will burn if you splatter it on your arm. I have the burn marks to prove that little fact. I gave me a Christmas present to me [nice Wendy] it was a book of [Oh Wendy let me guess--Asian Cuisine] Not very nice you know!! Yes, it was a book on AMERICAN Asian Cuisine [so there] we made Kung Pao chicken--minus the red chili peppers [we weren't up for that] Breane and I both enjoyed it. One thing I did notice--those Asians spend a lot of time cutting food up really REALLY small. I think we spent as much time cutting as we did eating. Thank goodness I have a good set of knives. Maybe I should mention that Bre and I want to add A LOT of Asian foods to our diet. With me it's a weight thing, with her a gluten thing. So don't be surprised if you come to my house for a traditional meal and end up eating with chop sticks, which we had fun with by the way. Breane did give up and grabbed a fork but not me, I managed the whole meal with Chop Sticks. I will let you know what we think after we've tried a dish that has tofu in it. We want to try that but we are a bit concerned.

Yum! I love kung pao! Let me know when you decide to go for the tofu. I may be able to help.....or I may just show up with some sake. haha =) loves
