Technology is going to be 'the death of me!'

Imagine this--A day when you could NOT leave your phone outside to get 'rained' on, because---it was connected to the wall with a WIRE! Oh, the 'good ol' days!!!! Yep, you guessed it---my phone got a 'rain' bath. Worse yet, Dennis won't replace it even though it's his fault!!!! How? you may ask! I was expecting a call from him, so I took my phone outside where I was working. Yes, he did infact call. I get off the phone and lie it on the chair. I don't think about it again until this morning. It rained last night, the phone is NOT working, how could this NOT be Dennis's fault? He's playing the innocent but---- This is going to cost me BIG! I was within 2 weeks of changing phone companies. I planned to change to Verizon. I had wanted to take my current number with me. Now, I don't know. I have to pay Sprint until the END of may, [I've made THAT mistake before] but I need a phone NOW! Does anyone know how I should handle this??? Do tell.

Well aunt Wendy i don't no if sprint does this, but i have Verizon and Kaylah broke my phone into two pieces so i went into Verizon and asked them if they had any old phones laying around ( phones that people just tell them to keep when they buy new ones) and Verizon just gave me one of those with no charge and now i am using a crappy phone until my contract runs out. I hope that helps.

I can confirm that they can technically authorize any phone that can communicate with the cell network.

Sounds like a good idea to me.

Just go to your friendly cell phone store or the nearest guy at one of those mall kiosks places...

Say, "Hey, I need you to authorize a phone for me... REAL cheap." then slip him a $20 and give him a wink. I bet you a Pepsi that will put things in motion. : )

And don't let stubborn mules (read men) get you down. Things could be worse. You could have toddlers that would think it would be cute to give your $650 laptop a bath.

... I still don't know how I got 90% on that paper. Ruined my whole Saturday.
