THE BEST!!!!

Yesterday was a BLAST! I LOVE days like that! My hair was done by a gal I've only had do it once before. I think that I might have a new hairdresser. She seems to really have a 'feel' for it. Anyway, that got done and then it was 'off to Mom's.' We went to get her 'blood draw.' I asked if she felt like lunch from 'Panda Express.' She did, so we did. We ate at her house and just 'chilled' for a couple of hours until her doctor appointment. She let me make a'fire.' How very brave of her!! That was fun as I haven't done that for awhile. There is a 'nac' to making a fire and I knew that. They have made it pretty easy so 'no worries!' Dinny called to check-up on us. Geesh Di, I THINK mom is safe with me! Actually, I thought it was pretty cute how she worries! After mom's appointment I grabbed a 'hot &ready' pizza for the family and then it was off to home. I was just getting settled in when Briddy called to see if she could come visit. How fun!!! She stayed for awhile and we had a lovely visit. I had such a great day that there is NO WAY I want to work today. Oh well, I must pay those bills somehow. I mean I don't owe another payment on Miss Eva until March 21st. but--- the day WILL come. Yesterday morning Dennis calls. I discover that he will be home a day ealier than I thought. I knew that if he 'ran true to form' the first words out of his mouth would be: 'how's your mom?' Trust me, when he asks, I had BETTER know. [talk about a 'son-in-law' wannabe!] So, I decided that I had better check on mom yesterday afternoon. She was fine, but--could use a little help today with appointments. Dennis you're the BEST! Now I get to spend time with mom today. I'll bet she wouldn't have asked if I hadn't gone over. I have a hair appointment in 45 minutes or so, and then it's just mom and me. This is going to be so good!!! Oh, by the by, Mom IS having some issues with her plumbing. I hope WE can get it fixed. If not, we may be asking for help/advice, so be warned.

Am I Crazy??

Tomorrow I have a day off. Yeah! I think that I'll take down the Valentine's decorations and 'put up' the St. Patrick's. [I'm justified now that I FINALLY got Brandon's and Rachels gift sent their way] People will start asking my kids, 'Is she CRAZY?' and they'll say, 'Yes, WE think so!' I suppose that it's just that I don't have anything better to do. I mean, I don't get 'out and about' the way I should. [would LOVE to see those grandkids but--] So, I'll just stay here and decorate to my hearts content. I told Bryon to pay attention to the fact that the box his brake pads came in was green. I bought the pads and Dennis made HIM put them on the 'flash mobile.' Anyway, about the box--It was green--therefore he can consider himself 'St. Partick'd.' How cheap am I? Well, you 'cut' where you can. I love you all tons and tons

Son, I can't remember your cell phone #. I need you to know that Dennis will be in Provo tomorrow. [Monday 22nd] He will be at 'Sportman's Warehouse' [on University, I think] at 7:00p.m. I would like you to go by there at that time because he agreed to bring your Valentine's remembrance up with him and that is the time when you can pick it up. He'd bring it to you except that he's going to be pulling a trailer and your streets are narrow. I hope you read this so that you can get it. [I'm already a week late!] I just wanted you kids to know that I DID think of you AND that I do LOVE you. Kiss the family. Still here

Hi all! I haven't had much to say so, for once, I kept quiet. I was AMAZED that my NEW car took 3 hours to clean. I HATE to think how much time it will take when it's NOT new. In my defense, I DID clean the interior as well as washing and waxing. But 3 HOURS!!!?? Geesh!

$2,800.00. This is what the Federal Government seems to think I deserve for being gainfully employed, a homeowner, and had a minor child during the year. I've always taken the money and wisely?? spent it, but I've never GOTTEN it! How can I be intitled to MORE than I actually PAID! I'm sure I'll be singing another tune next year when they decide that I have very deep pockets. Is it just me, or is the tax system a BIT unequal??? The City of St. George has already decided that my deep? pockets can afford an additional 10 dollars a month on my mortgage. This because I should pay an unreasonable amount in property tax. I like this city and all, but good heavens my tax is MORE than 2 mortgage payments a year. How do they justify this??

I NEED BRAIN food!!!!!

'Oh, this is so cute! Kaleb is getting so big!!!' So says Bridget while looking at the computer. I'm on the other side of the kitchen thinking, 'Kaleb??? Kaleb who?' When the light FINALLY clicked to the ON position, I felt like the Worst Grandee ever. How!?? do you forget your own Grandsons name??? Or, in the mail yesterday, when I received some cards painted by Grandma Anna. I actually WONDERED why she sent duplicates. UNTIL I offered some to Bridget. OF COURSE, she sent extra so I could share!? Well duh!!! Guess What Wendy???? It's NOT all about YOU!!! My brain is turning to mush before my very eyes. [I prefer to believe that over, 'I ain't never been the sharpest knife in the drawer!']

Moving right along, [please] I have the day off and intend to enjoy it! After I drop Bre at work, I need to get an oil change, shop for food for the superbowl gig, finish my Valentine's shopping, decorate for said Superbowl and possibly do some actual WORK around here. [probably not though] It should be a fun day. [just between you and me, Bryon gets SOCKS for Valentine's--I'll teach him yet to quit using his socks for SHOES!! You should see them--can we say BLACK!!]
